My First Poodle

My first poodle was Mimi, named French because back in the 50's all poodles were French! She was black, but faded in time. We had her until she was 14. Poor thing, my Dad and I experimented with my grooming techniques on her, she never had a professional grooming. I do remember as she got older having steps up to my bed and

she guarded my room from everyone else in the house...

In our house we always had several pets, at one time I had an alligator snapping turtle from the Seminoles in the Everglades, we had several parakeets and a cockateil named Dagwood Bumstead, a little green parrot named Jimmy Durante and usually had one cat. I also had horned toads, a Muscovie duck and several chinchilla rabbits.
